Simplest Butterscotch Brownies

1/4 c sweet butter; melted

1 c brown sugar

1 t vanilla

1 lg egg

3/4 c flour

1/2 t salt [original had more]

Oven at 350F.

Mix butter, sugar, vanilla, and egg. Stir in flour and salt. Spread in greased 8x8x2" pan. Bake 25 min. Cut into squares while warm.
