Crockpot Southwestern Beef & Beans Recipe

Ingredients
1pounddried pinto beans
6cupwater
1/2poundsalt pork, cut up
1poundchuck steak, 1 inch cubed
1eachred chili pepper
1eachonion, chopped
2eachgarlic cloves, minced
6oztomato paste, can
1 1/2tablespoonchili powder
1teaspooncumin seeds
1/2teaspoonmarjoram

Directions:
Soak beans in water overnight. Brown salt pork in skillet; drain off fat in paper towels. In slow-cooking pot, combine soaked beans (with water), browned pork and remaining ingredients. Cover and cook 1 hour on high; reduce heat to low and cook an additional 8 to 9 hours.
