| 2 | pound | venison, cubed | |
| 2 | tablespoon | oil | |
| 3 | each | celery, stalks, diced | |
| 1/2 | cup | onion, chopped | |
| 2 | each | garlic, cloves, minced | |
| 1 | tablespoon | parsley, fresh, chopped | |
| 1/2 | cup | water | |
| 1/2 | cup | dry red wine | |
| 1 | cup | tomato sauce | |
| 1 | salt, to taste | ||
| 1 | pepper, to taste | ||
| 1 | oregano | ||
| 1 | basil | ||
Directions: | |||
| Brown meat in oil. Place celery and onion at the bottom of the crockpot. Add browned meat and remaining ingredients. Cook on low for 7-10 hours. | |||
