| 4 | cup | apples, peeled, cored,sliced | |
| 1 | tablespoon | lemon juice | |
| 2 | tablespoon | butter or margarine | |
| 3/4 | cup | rolled oats | |
| 2 | tablespoon | brown sugar | |
| 2 | tablespoon | nuts, chopped | |
| 4 | teaspoon | cinnamon | |
Directions: | |||
| Substitute peaches or pears when they are in season. Place apples in a microwave baking pan and sprinkle with lemon juice. In a small bowl, melt butter at High for 30 to 45 sec. Stir in rolled oats, brown sugar, nuts and cinnamon. Combine well. Sprinkle evenly over apples. Microwave at High for 8-10 min. Allow 5 to 7 min after cooking time. 8 Servings each 1/2 cup 1 fruit choice, 1 fat choice 10 g carbohydrate, 1 g protein, 5 g fat, 89 calories | |||
